The Rachel Eckroth Trio brings together pianist and composer Rachel Eckroth, bassist Emma Dayhuff, and drummer Tina Raymond

Centered on Eckroth’s original music, the trio focuses on modern jazz, emphasizing ensemble interaction and contemporary rhythmic ideas.

In October 2025, the group released a 5-song EP titled, “This Is One Of Those Moments”, a precursor to a full-length album due out at the end of 2026.

Rachel Eckroth is a 3x Grammy-nominated pianist known for her work as a leader and collaborator across jazz, experimental music, and popular genres. She has toured and recorded with St. Vincent, Chris Botti, Rufus Wainwright, and members of David Bowie’s Blackstar band. Her writing for the trio features melodic themes, open harmonic spaces, and room for collective improvisation.

Emma Dayhuff is an acoustic bassist with experience in straight-ahead jazz, avant-garde improvisation, and interdisciplinary projects. She has worked with Nicole Mitchell, Jeff Parker, Vijay Iyer, Isaiah Collier, and Tomeka Reid.

Tina Raymond is a Los Angeles–based drummer recognized for her articulate, modern style. She has performed and recorded with Eric Revis, Art Lande, Wayne Horvitz, Carmen Lundy, and Bobby Bradford, and serves as Director of Jazz Studies at California State University Northridge.
