Originating from Puerto Rican teenagers in the 1970’s New York, the Latin Hustle started from blending Afro-Cuban partner dances like Mambo and Salsa over underground Disco tracks. Over time it evolved to become an energetic dance with many turns, travels and intricate patterns.

The dance was made internationally famous by the hit movie Saturday Night Fever, and became a viral dance craze that helped bring social partner dancing back into popular culture.

Today, it is danced around the world to modern club music with Disco, Hip Hop, House & R&B sounds.

Level 1
this progressive will serve as an introduction to Latin Hustle to make you comfortable with basic social dancing with no previous experience required. This will include:

• basic Hustle structure, footwork and rhythm

• partner connection and technique

• social dance etiquette and dance history

• basic styling for the Lead and Follow

• beginner turn patterns

No partner or past experience is needed for this course.

Drop-in

Every group class on our schedule, unless otherwise specified, is $25. Any time you take a group class at Motivo LA, you get entry into the social dance as well.

Virtual Punch Cards

Punch cards apply to all drop-in classes and series classes. You can also use your punches to get into the evening socials. A punch used for a class also includes the evening dance that night and they never expire. $190/10 classes (25% off), or $320/20 classes (35% off)
