Drop-in Classes
Every group class on our schedule, unless otherwise specified, is $30. Any time you take a group class at Motivo LA, you get entry into the social dance / practice as well. For discounts, please have a look at our memberships and virtual punch cards, as these will save you money in the long run.
Intro Series
Our Level 1 Intro Series packs are offered as month-long programs at $20 per session. Committing to the full series ensures a smooth, progressive learning experience and is the only way to lock in your spot.
Drop-ins are available for $30, but only at the door and only if space allows. Since drop-ins cannot be reserved in advance, we always recommend enrolling in the full series to secure your place and get the most out of your training.”
Once completed, and as you advance into Level 1.5, you’ll be able to retake all Level 1 series at no cost — perfect for reinforcing basics or learning the other role
Virtual Punch Cards
Punch cards apply to most drop-in classes and ongoing series (except Level 1 which requires a month long commitment).
You can also use your punches to get into the evening socials. A punch used for a class also includes the evening dance that night and they never expire.

Tango Membership
$145/month
LATA (LA Tango Academy) Membership includes all Tango drop-in classes, curriculum classes, weekly Milongas & Practicas. LATA members also receive 20% off on monthly socials and tango workshops organized by Motivo LA. The membership activates at first use.
WCS Membership
$145/month
West Coast Swing Membership includes all WCS classes & weekly practices. $20% off on monthly WCS events/workshops. The membership activates at first use.
Unlimited Membership
$205/month
Our best value is our Unlimited Membership! At only $205 per month, if you take just 4 classes a week, you’ll be paying less than $13 per class. This membership covers every group class & social on our schedule.
Membership FAQ
Q: Can I freeze my membership?
Yes. Each monthly membership includes one freeze per calendar year while keeping your current rate.
Q: How do I request a freeze?
You can request a freeze by emailing us or speaking with the Motivo front desk.
Q: What if I need to freeze more than once per year?
If you need more than one freeze in a year, your membership will need to be canceled and repurchased at the current published rate.
Q: Is my membership price locked in?
Yes. As long as your membership remains active, your current rate is protected.
Q: Will my membership price ever increase?
There may be occasional annual price adjustments, but any increase will not exceed 3%.

This policy helps us offer predictable pricing, support our instructors, and keep memberships fair and sustainable for the community.
Refunds & Store Credit Policy
All purchases at Motivo LA are final and non-refundable.
If you cancel a class or event before it starts, you will automatically receive store credit, which may be used toward future classes, workshops, or events.
Store credit does not expire and is non-transferable.
