We’re so excited to gather for another El Motivo Tango Weekend: Elmo Verano on August 21-23, 2026!
Join us for more than 24 hours of dancing with an incredible lineup of DJs, along with special live music experiences woven throughout the weekend — featuring both traditional tango music and alternative tango music.
Saturday and Sunday mornings, Alex Krebs will guide workshops (intermediate & above) centered around music, listening, and becoming more comfortable dancing to modern orchestras, live music, and alternative tango while staying grounded in traditional tango technique.
Our intention for the weekend is to create a space for deeper listening, curiosity, presence, and connection — both with the music and with each other. We can’t wait to share this experience with you.
The price is $200 or $220 (with workshops) per person.
This event is role balanced and capped at 180 dancers.

— Our follower registrations remain on a waitlist, and we're doing our best to accommodate as many dancers as possible.

Role/Space permitting, you will receive an email with payment info and your receipt of payment serves as your registration confirmation. We'll hold your spot for 48hrs after you receive the payment link.
Registration fee can be refunded until August 1st minus a $15 registration fee.

Learn practical tools to confidently dance to modern orchestras, live music, and alternative tango while staying grounded in traditional tango technique. We’ll explore adaptable movement, rhythm awareness, musical interpretation, and connection so you can feel comfortable, musical, and expressive no matter what music is playing.
