Grand Opening!
Join us for the grand opening of Club Velvet - a night of live music, dancing, and community in a space made for it all. We’re kicking things off with the incredible Dave Stuckey & the Hot House Gang, plus a pre-dance workshop led by two legends of swing, Nick Williams and Sylvia Sykes.
Our venue features beautiful floating dance floors and a vintage flair that feels right at home with the music of the era. We’re excited to open our doors and share a night that’s all about connection, movement, and great music - nothing more, nothing less.

About Silvia Sykes & Nick Williams
Sylvia Sykes is a world-renowned swing dance educator and historian, celebrated for her role in preserving and popularizing Balboa worldwide. With decades of experience, studies with legendary dancers, and countless titles across Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Shag, she continues to teach, judge, and inspire dancers across the globe, sharing her deep knowledge and love of swing.
Nick Williams is a world champion swing dancer whose mastery of Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Collegiate Shag blends authenticity with dynamic, musical precision. With titles spanning the US Open to the California Balboa Classic, and appearances on So You Think You Can Dance, Nick is celebrated for his engaging teaching style, deep musicality, and dedication to the art and evolution of swing.
About Dave Stuckey
Dave Stuckey is an award-winning musician whose career spans Western Swing, Rockabilly, and pre-bop Jazz. A 2020 Ameripolitan Award winner, he’s performed worldwide with top artists and fronts The Hot House Gang, a hard-charging band blending Eddie Condon–style drive with jiving vocals in the spirit of Wingy Manone and Fats Waller—guaranteed to get dancers on their feet.
